In addition to THREE STAGES OF LIVE MUSIC, Dynamo Pro Wrestling will present live Lucha Libre Wrestling at 2pm, 4pm and 6pm at the corner of Cherokee and Iowa. Throughout the day, there will be live entertainment, bull riding, and children’s activities, Latin American dance performances, climbing wall and much more.
Working in consortium with local arts and nonprofit organizations, Cinco De Mayo: A Cherokee Street Festival provides a variety of kid and family friendly activities throughout the day. St. Louis Public Schools Kids Zone will feature a interactive games, sports games and bouncy houses and our friends at The World Chess Hall of Fame will be setting up their lifesize chess board on the street as well.
The People’s Joy Parade presented by Community Arts and Movement Project will begin at its traditional time of 1:11 PM. People’s Joy Parade is a grassroots menagerie of crepe paper float makers, home made costume fashionistas, Gigante puppeteers, art cars, bike brigades, moving installation artists, drag queens, beat making marching bands, Mexican wrestlers and anyone else wanting to partake in the jovial parade.
