In addition to THREE STAGES OF LIVE MUSIC, Dynamo Pro Wrestling will present live Lucha Libre Wrestling at 3pm and 5pm at the corner of Cherokee and Iowa. Throughout the day, there will be live entertainment, mariachi, bull riding, giant jenga and the now inaugural and infamous Donald Trump piñata for revelers to enjoy.
Working in consortium with local arts and nonprofit organizations, Cinco De Mayo: A Cherokee Street Festival provides a variety of free kid and family friendly activities throughout the day. St. Louis Public Schools Kids Zone will feature a water slide, bouncy houses and interactive games. The Contemporary Art Museum, St. Louis Language Immersion Schools, Artscope, and Justice Fleet will provide a variety of kid’s art making activities.
The People’s Joy Parade presented by Community Arts and Movement Project will begin at its traditional time of 1:11 PM. People’s Joy Parade is a grassroots menagerie of crepe paper float makers, home made costume fashionistas, Gigante puppeteers, art cars, bike brigades, moving installation artists, drag queens, beat making marching bands, Mexican wrestlers and anyone else wanting to partake in the jovial parade.
